The Challenge
Tali Karachi, a design studio deeply rooted in Pakistan’s arts and crafts tradition, sought to translate its legacy into a seamless digital experience. With a growing need for an online presence, the brand required a digital platform that not only reflected its ethos but also enabled a smooth e-commerce experience for its audience. However, the transition presented challenges: defining a brand identity suited for digital, ensuring a high-quality user experience, and setting up a Shopify-based e-commerce system tailored to their specific needs.

The Work
Our engagement began with a series of in-person brand strategy workshops, ensuring alignment between Tali’s team and our design direction. These workshops laid the groundwork for the project’s pathway and best approaches, allowing us to craft a solution tailored to their goals and audience.

To establish a cohesive visual language, we developed their brand & visual identity driven by in-depth research and outcome-oriented analysis. This identity was designed to function seamlessly within a digital framework, particularly for Tali’s new website. We further created a color system optimized for digital interfaces to ensure consistency across their online presence.

A core aspect of the project was designing and building a Shopify-based e-commerce website that enhanced usability while maintaining Tali’s aesthetic integrity.
This included:
- Custom Shopify Workarounds: Implementing minor custom code solutions to optimize user experience and platform functionality.
- Mobile-First Approach: Designing an intuitive, mobile-first interface to cater to a predominantly mobile user base.
- CMS & Content Integration: Setting up the Shopify CMS, editing product images, uploading product data, and establishing a structured content management system.
- Analytics & Payment Gateway Setup: Enabling data tracking and ensuring smooth transaction flows to enhance user confidence.
The Outcome
By blending tradition with a research-driven digital strategy, we helped Tali Karachi establish an e-commerce presence that embodies its identity while prioritizing user experience. The outcome is a high-functioning, visually compelling, and user-friendly Shopify store that enables the brand to engage with its audience in a more meaningful way.
